This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to inform visitors of klinikterapist.com and people who contact me.

What data do I process?

• When you visit the site: The site sets no cookies of its own. Anonymous, aggregate counts of visited pages are kept (the page address, whether a post was read to the end, the domain of the referring site only, the device type, the page language and link clicks). No IP address or anything that identifies a person is recorded; these counts are not personal data and are used only to improve the site’s content. The hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may keep technical connection records such as IP addresses for security and service operation, under its own policy.
• When you allow Google Analytics: If you choose “Accept” in the cookie window, Google Analytics runs. The random number held by the _ga cookie in your browser, the pages you visit and the time spent on them, the site you came from, your approximate location (city or country level), and your device, browser and language are sent to Google. Your IP address is not stored in Google Analytics. This information is used only as aggregate reports, to understand how the site is used and to improve it; it is not used for advertising. If you choose “Decline”, none of it is collected.
• When you e-mail me: your name, e-mail address and whatever you share in your message.
• When you use the contact form: the name, e-mail address, topic and message you enter reach me as an e-mail through Google’s infrastructure (Google Apps Script) and are used only to reply to you. Your message is not stored on the site; only to prevent abuse, a counter linked to your e-mail address is kept by Google for at most 24 hours.

Please do not share detailed information about your health in e-mails or form messages. Such matters are discussed during sessions, under appropriate conditions.

Purpose and legal basis

Your data is processed to answer your questions, assess appointment requests and communicate with you, on the legal bases in Article 5 of the KVKK of being “directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract” and “the legitimate interest of the data controller”. Google Analytics relies only on the explicit consent you give in the cookie window (Article 5(1) of the KVKK). You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Who receives your data?

Your data is never sold or shared for marketing. E-mail is provided by Google (Google Workspace), site hosting by GitHub, and visit statistics (only if you allow them) by Google Analytics. Because these providers may operate servers outside Türkiye, your data may be transferred abroad in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK. It may be shared with competent authorities where required by law.

How long is it kept?

E-mail correspondence is kept for as long as needed for its purpose and for any legally required retention period, and is deleted afterwards. Google Analytics data is deleted after 2 months; the _ga cookies stay in your browser for up to 2 years and are deleted when you withdraw your consent.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing and the recipients, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request deletion when the conditions are met, and claim compensation for damage.
